I have currently begun to create cymbals. The image below is of my first cymbal. I am gathering more tools and materials to create more cymbals.

I start with an 18 Gauge, 24" x 24", sheet of Stainless Steel sheet. Then I drill the center mounting hole. After that, I cut the disc out, smooth the edges, hammer the bell and the body. Once that is complete, I anneal the cymbal with a propane tank to change tonality and color.
I have been playing drums for 23 years and composing and playing synthesizers for 16 years. I generally use old or uncommon synthesizers; including the Alesis Micron, Yamaha DX21 and the Sidrassi Organ, along with various effect pedals.

I also compose tracks using Garageband or SunVox, and I edit my audio in Audacity.
I'm a self-taught artist and I first began creating art in grade school. I daydreamed and drew pictures in class, rather than paying attention to the teacher. I found that I could both absorb lessons and draw at the same time, as drawing became a meditation. Later on, I became interested in painting as a stress coping method in my early 20's.

Since then, I have found painting to be less of a coping method and consequently, more enjoyable.
I design cassette and CD artwork, logos, flyers, button artwork, business cards, cartoon characters and wedding stationery.

Professionally, I have been designing hardware store advertisements, brochures, trade show materials and fliers for 12 years.

I am proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Adobe Acrobat. I also enjoy making websites, and pushing my skills and abilities by attempting new layout formats and new approaches to design and typography.
